Mr Du Triou has over 28 years experience in the South African mining industry across all stages of a mine’s lifecycle. He specialises in project and financial evaluations, construction, mine expansion, risk assessments, due diligence, execution and commissioning to full nameplate capacity.
Jacques began his career with Harmony and progressed to General Manager (2009-2015). During this time, he led the Doornkop South Reed deepening project which had an estimated capital cost of ZAR1.2 billion (~US$700 million) from feasibility to peak production. He also worked extensively on Harmony’s Kalgold open-pit project.
Prior to joining Theta Gold, Jacques founded and led Qmotion Mining, where he developed and implemented business strategies that established the company as a successful contracting services provider. Qmotion has successfully delivered contracts for the Evander Gold Mine, Sibanye Stillwater, Anglo Platinum, Royal Bafokeng Platinum and Murray & Roberts Holdings.
Terrence is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, holding B Juris and LLB degrees, with a professional focus on socio-economic development and municipal governance. He has built extensive experience within the mining environment, working as a Social Facilitation Consultant to support mining companies in developing strong, sustainable community relationships. To date, he has assisted numerous operators to secure community support, regulatory approvals, and social licences to operate.
Terrence has recently worked with clients such as Glencore and Gold One, where he successfully engaged community stakeholders and representative structures, enabling constructive dialogue and collaboration with mining operators. These engagements consistently resulted in balanced, win-win outcomes for communities, companies, and local authorities.
In addition to his sector experience, Terrence has served in local government, including as Administrator of Thaba Chweu Local Municipality, providing insight into governance and management.
Corporate finance professional with over twenty years’ experience serving as Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer across multiple ASX‑listed entities, primarily within the resources and energy sectors. Possesses a strong commercial and governance background, supported by a Bachelor of Commerce from Griffith University, Brisbane, a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, and professional qualifications as a Chartered Accountant with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Extensive expertise in corporate and commercial law, with deep familiarity in ASX Listing Rules, continuous disclosure obligations, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, and large-scale asset monetisation transactions. Brings significant experience working with resource companies throughout the full mining lifecycle—from early-stage exploration and project development through to production—across commodities including gold, nickel, silver, and oil and gas producing assets. Known for providing commercially focused leadership, strong stakeholder engagement, and disciplined financial and governance oversight.
Freddy is an experienced underground Production Manager who built his career at Harmony Gold, where he led diverse production crews focused on delivering safe, sustainable, and profitable gold mining operations. In this role, he was responsible for coordinating underground activities, optimizing production performance, and ensuring strict compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. He worked closely with technical, geological, and operational teams to balance productivity with responsible environmental stewardship, contributing to long-term operational efficiency and risk reduction.
His leadership style emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement, enabling crews to meet production targets while maintaining high safety standards. Freddy holds an Honors Degree in Mining and Environmental Geology from the University of Venda for Science and Technology, providing him with a strong technical foundation and a deep understanding of environmentally responsible and sustainable mining practices.
